Xtreme Bean: the brand
By early 2023 I had built enough PCs to know this was not just a phase. I needed an actual name.
Xtreme Bean had been my Steam gamer tag for years. I made it up on the spot when I created my Steam account about six years ago and it just sort of became my online identity. It was weird enough to be memorable and dumb enough to be funny. So I kept it.
I designed a basic logo, set up a workflow, and started treating this like a real thing. Around this time I was averaging about one PC a week. Sourcing parts on Marketplace, testing components on my bench, meeting clients, delivering machines.
The photo from this time is one of my favourites. All the parts laid out on a table before the build. There is something really satisfying about seeing every component waiting to be assembled. The calm moment before you pick up the screwdriver.
