Building for yourself is one thing. Building for someone who gave you actual money is completely different. The stakes feel way higher.

This was my first real customer. I do not remember the exact specs but I remember the anxiety. What if it does not POST. What if I forgot something. What if they hate it.

It booted first try. This does not always happen and when it does you feel like you can do anything.

The customer was really happy. They sent me a photo with the completed build and that photo became proof that I could actually do this. Word of mouth from that first customer led to more builds and eventually Xtreme Builds became a real thing. I still do not know why they took a chance on some kid with a screwdriver and a stupid gamer tag but I am glad they did.
