The CPU box collection

At some point I started keeping the CPU boxes. Not intentionally. I just did not throw one away. Then another. Then suddenly I had a bookshelf full.

Each box is a build. An i7 here, a Ryzen there, a few generations of Intel and AMD stacked up over the years. The collection tells the story better than any spreadsheet. You can see the era when everyone wanted Ryzen 5 3600s. The period when i5 12400Fs were the value pick. The random Celeron from that one cheap office build.

Also on the shelf: Up and Go breakfast drinks. I bought a ridiculous amount when they were on sale for about a dollar a pack. The photo has both collections. CPU boxes above, Up and Go below. It is not glamorous but it is real.

Late 2025 in Canberra. Over 110 builds done and the shelf had earned its place.
