Blueberry muffin batter

Blueberry muffins are dangerous because the batter is basically as good as the baked muffins.

Key thing with muffins is do not overmix. The batter should be lumpy. Smooth batter means tough muffins. It is one of those baking rules that feels wrong but is absolutely correct. I folded the blueberries in last and tried not to crush them. Some still sink to the bottom during baking. That is just what blueberries do.

The photo is the batter stage because honestly batter photos do not get enough love. Everyone posts the finished muffin. Show me what it looked like before.
